Hello everybody!
It's crazy to think that the end is here. Honestly, as a missionary, it feels like it will never end, haha! But end it will. It's been a good couple of weeks though!
We've had a man reach out to us from Kenya in Africa, and he is a member already but he wants to help his whole city join and the nearest branch is possibly 60 miles away. His internet is so bad that all we can really do is send texts and pictures and videos back and forth, so we are working with the missionaries in the area to reach out to him and help him with his missionary efforts. He sends us videos of the local kids singing hymns and it is very cool to see!
We also starting teaching a man named Aaron! He is a really cool guy that already believes in a lot of the things we believe, and when we were teaching the Restoration, he was beating us to the principles, haha! He is a very devout person and we hope he will go far. He does have an obstacle that would keep him from being baptized so keep him in your prayers to have the strength to overcome it.
Note to all of y'all, don't go to Aspen Dental, haha. One of the elders I live with had a cracked tooth (his filling came out) and so he went to Aspen to have it checked out. Well they looked and said he had 12 cavities and would need an emergency root canal done, and even with insurance, it would be a few thousand dollars. He was told to go to another dentist that was more established, but that dentist took a look and said he just had 3 cavities and would only need a crown put in, no root canal. Both Aspen and the other dentist were an hour and a half away and in different directions so it was quite a trip, haha, but he got it taken care of.
This past week, a member let us pick fresh jalapenos from his garden to take home, and I decided to make hamburgers with them. It was pretty good cause the jalapenos were fresh and the meat was from our local butcher shop so it was fresh as well! I'm gonna miss the meat we get, haha!
But that is about it for me. Make sure you watch General Conference this weekend and listen to the words of our prophets! Life is good!
Sincerely, Elder Wilson
