Hello everybody!
This past week I had my departing interview with my mission president, President Bell. Basically it is when we meet to talk about what my plans are for after the mission so I can continue being a disciple of Christ. He gave me some good advice and also a priesthood blessing, which is something I really needed. In that blessing, I had a special experience where my testimony was strengthened immensely and I was reminded that this is Heavenly Father's work, even as we deal with the struggles and setbacks of today. He is in control and has a path already laid out in front of us to get us through the trials we are facing. It is so important that we follow the prophet and seek his guidance because that is how we will know the path.
I mentioned last week how I was going on an adventure. Well, that adventure was touring the butcher shop owned by a member so I got to see how pigs get processed. It was actually not a creepy experience and the pigs don't experience much if any pain, which was nice to see. They get a quick shot through the head and it's done, over instantly. Another missionary and I were given the opportunity to shoot a pig, that was pretty neat. Afterwards, the member took us to a natural fountain, where it was spewing clean, pure mineral water. We all got to take a drink and it was super refreshing!
The work has slowed down a bit but we are trying and working hard. Life goes on, life is good!
Love, Elder Wilson
