Hello everybody!
I am twenty now and had a great birthday celebration at Lambert's last Monday. It was very filling and everything I had hoped for from it! What made it even more special was an anonymous person paid for all of our food, which was quite a tab to cover. That was really awesome cause that usually doesn't happen out here in the Mid-west and was a first for all of us! We were very blessed by that.
We also got to start teaching a gentleman named Jim this past week. He is an older man and lost his wife a couple of years ago. Because of that, he is working hard to draw closer and learn more of God. He is very open and wanting to learn and it's nice to be able to solidly teach a person again!
My studies lately have been focused on throwing off the natural man as talked about in Mosiah 3:19. This has become very important to me as I near the end of my mission. Not only do I want others to be transformed and become a saint, I too want to become that. I can't simply teach the Gospel to others, I need to live it as well, especially when I am released so the people I have met and taught know that I know that this Gospel is true and I am not out here for the wrong reasons. So I am focusing on transforming myself so that I can help others to do the same. It is a great scripture and study and invite you to study it as well!
I hope you all have a great week and I'll talk to you later!
Love, Elder Wilson
