Hi everybody!
Sorry for not emailing, last week I was writing and right before I sent it, I accidently deleted the whole thing and had only 5 minutes before running to a teaching appointment, so yeah. Then the week before, our apartment was being treated so yeah.
Speaking of treatment, turns out we had bed bugs. And they were ALL UNDER MY MATTRESS! Hundreds of em! It was pretty gross! However, despite their numbers I had a tender mercy of NOT BEING BIT ONCE! My companion was not so lucky, even though they were in my bed and not his. We joke that I was just nicer to them so they were nice to me. So yeah, for a week and a half, I slept on the couch downstairs and found out that I actually enjoy sleeping on the couch, they're so comfy! But we got it all taken care of and I'm bed bug free now.
On other news, I'm being transferred tomorrow out of Rantoul. I will miss Rantoul, but I am willing and happy to go wherever the Lord wants me. When I transferred out here, I thought it could never be as good as Downtown St. Louis and I was sad. But then as I worked out here, it became even better than St. Louis. I can see how when we trust in the Lord, He will lead us to great experiences and help us find HAPPINESS!
Isaac has been on fire! He has a lot of free time right now and so he has been coming with us to lessons and to service which has been wonderful! Not only has he been a great support for us in our ministering but he has also been been growing his testimony which is great! He commented to us how much he has changed because quite honestly, he had no interest in religion until we met with him and invited the Spirit and now he's considering serving a mission! Great things are in store for him and for those around him!
Another fireball has been Amanda. Since she has started meeting with us, she has brought about ten people to church with her and she hasn't even joined the church yet! (That's gonna change on June 8th though) I think it just goes to show that there is never a shortage of people to invite to church, and anybody can be the one to extend that invite.
And finally there is Perry and Daisha, a senior couple whose testimony and desire to be sealed in the temple is rocketing them towards baptism on June 1st. I love how they love the temple. They want it so badly and so are willing to submit to the Lord in every way in order to gain those blessings. I hope to be like them and hope you do the same where we're willing to lay aside whatever may be holding us back and claim the blessings that the Lord is offering us.
I know that Jesus Christ can change lives because I have seen Him change many around me and He has changed me personally as well. I love so much the peace and safety that He freely offers to those that simply follow Him. I love being in His flock and helping others come into that flock. I know it is the right thing to do and that it will help anybody and everybody that submits their own wills and simply seeks after the love and peace that is offered from Him.
Here starts a new chapter in my mission! We'll see what the Lord's plan for me is! I love you all! And most importantly, I know that Christ does too! I believe in Christ!
Love, Elder Wilson
