Hi everybody!
This week can be summed up into two great events. The first being we did exchanges in Danville again for two and a half days and so I got to go to Indiana again! We got the opportunity to go stop by farmers on the very edge of our mission so down below is a picture of the Missouri, Saint Louis Mission on one side and the Indiana, Indianapolis Mission on the other. So cool, right?
Haha, but more importantly, we had General Conference this weekend! That was so incredible to hear messages specifically designed for us in our day! My favorite talk was by Sister Craven in the Saturday morning session. She talked a out "Careful vs. Casual" which is our mission's unofficial motto. Every meeting, President and Sister Bateman specifically talk about Careful vs. Casual so it was so funny and helpful to hear it in Conference after hearing it so much for six months now. Another favorite was President Eyring's talk on the necessity to instill in our families a testimony of Jesus Christ so that we can withstand the blows of this life. It also provides a remedy for families that have already been hurt and need healing. So powerful! Finally, there was President Nelson's address in Priesthood session, where he challenged all of us to be repenting and changing on a daily basis. I like this a lot because it goes back to how small and consistent changes to be better are a lot longer lasting and more deep. Just like a torrent of rain will cause a damaging flood, whereas a long drizzle will soak deeper.
It's finally starting to warm up and the buds are growing so hopefully Spring will be sprouting soon! Can't wait to see green!
I love you all and hope that your testimonies of Jesus Christ are constantly growing and sprouting like a persistent tree!
Love, Elder Wilson
Also, a song that I love, hope you enjoy!
