Hi everybody!
Not much to report this week, we have stayed busy tracting and finding people to teach and there has been no free time which was great!
Yesterday, daylight savings time changed again so now the sun is up a lot later and it's so weird! It feels like home a little bit with so much sunlight!
We had zone conference last Tuesday and we were taught "A little bit more, a little bit better." This stood out to me because I realized that change is a very gradual thing. If you abruptly make a change in your life, you might abruptly go back to what you were before. However, if you gradually change, it will take longer but it will stick longer because it becomes who you are. It's the little choices we make, the little changes in life that determine who we are.
It is my hope that we all strive to gradually change to love one another, so that it becomes who we are. And how do we do that? Well, Moroni 7:45 teaches the following: "And charity suffereth long, and is kind, and envieth not, and is not puffed up, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil, and rejoiceth not in iniquity but rejoiceth in the truth, beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things." I think we all want to have charity in our lives so it wouldn't be unreasonable to ask that we all work on it this coming week by picking one aspect of charity and ingraining it in ourselves by practicing it everyday, all day. Over the next few weeks, as you pick one aspect of charity and work on it, you will see that you're happier, that the world isn't as bad, and that life is more peaceful. Will you all do that?
To start off, this week I will be working on "seeking not my own". I could improve this because sometimes thoughts of home and personal wants take my mind off the work and I don't want that so this week it's gonna be all about the people!
Love you all and hope you take this challenge because it will bless you so much. By small and simple things are great things brought to pass!
Love, Elder Wilson
