Hola!
Man, have I had to say that a lot this week, haha! We went tracting and had to talk to about 6 to 7 Spanish speaking households. Since my companion doesn't know any Spanish, it was all up to me and the Spirit. I am so glad to have picked up a little Spanish and that it came in handy!
Speaking of my companion, he is Elder Anderson! You might recognize him from previous pictures I've sent because we already have a history working together! He was in my previous district back in St. Louis and so we worked together then. We also started our missions together so lots of history, haha. He is from Rexburg, Idaho and is 23 years old.
After five months, I'm finally behind the wheel again. It's been such a joy driving and I'm doing just dandy! Took some fun pictures this morning.
So fun story, if you don't know, I wear a trench coat as my heavy coat. In just two days, three of the four buttons popped off one after the other. What are the odds? I guess the were unified. Luckily, Sister Hart from my district is good with a needle and was so kind to mend it for me today. Getting up to that point I had to improvise, haha. I'm glad I kept the belt that came with the coat.
Another fun story that I forgot to mention last week: Elder Gallegos doesn't know how to drive, Haha. So it was pouring one day last week and we were trying by farms. We parked in a driveway and tried by one farmhouse and got no answer. So we turned back and Elder Gallegos thought he could flip a U-turn .......... through the adjacent muddy cornfield. I stood outside and just watched in horror as our car sunk in the mud. So we had to go back to the farm house and this time we got a response. A Spanish-speaking lady came and was super super nice and towed us out. So she'll be getting a plate of cookies soon from some grateful elders! But since Elder Gallegos didn't know what he was doing and I definitely didn't want to burden the lady anymore, I got down and knelt in the mud beneath the car to hook up the tow rope. Brought back memories of when I got my family's van stuck out in the desert and had to get it towed out, haha! A blessing in disguise that prepared me for this incident. Love you Mom and Dad!
Once again I'm running out of time so I'll catch you next week!
Love, Elder Wilson

I'm finally behind the wheel again.
