Hi everybody!
Happy New Years! This is such an incredible time of the year. We get the chance to reflect on where we are, where we want to be, and how we want to get there. It's important to set goals, but more important than that is to set plans to achieve those goals. My mission president taught us that a goal without a plan will never come to fruition. My goal this year is to bring 8 people unto the Lord by helping be baptized. I will achieve this goal by setting expectations with my companions and by talking to more people about the Gospel.
A miracle happened last night. So we were visiting a member that was outside of our area and so we got approval and got on the bus to head down. While we were traveling, (it was a 40 minute bus ride), a man came and sat down behind me. He was talking on the phone and I found out he was very distraught over the recent loss of a brother. I turned around and gave him the best comfort I could, which is the comfort of the Gospel. He was super appreciative and we will be helping him through this hard time. I know that Heavenly Father arranged for my companion and I to be on that bus at that time in order to help one of His grieving children. The Gospel is so wonderful, that it can bring the best of peace and joy to anyone.
Another miracle happened in a family we were teaching. So we've actually met with different individuals in this family for quite some time now but last Friday, the mother decided to start having her family receive the lessons as a family. I know that family is central to God's plan and since they have agreed to follow Him together, they will be blessed immensely. We will start teaching them twice a week and expect they will draw close to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
Funny story now. So there is a guy who needed furniture moved but didn't want to pay a mover. He called one moving company and a member in our ward answered. After hearing the situation, he got referred to us missionaries. He thought we were movers, and he was so shocked and happy to hear how we would help move his furniture for free, haha. We'll try to slip in a spiritual message as we do that tomorrow. Just goes to show that if a member has your contact info, you'll eventually get referred to the missionaries, haha.
Finally, I meet two other missionaries who actually went to Mountain View with me but a year or two ahead. There's a picture of us down below showing our school pride. Small world! Also, our vehicle coordinator, Elder Lisonbee, is also from Mesa and he's got a lot of Arizona pride so we get along super well, haha. Maybe that will come in handy when I actually get a car to drive, hahaha.
Hope you all had a great holiday season and our prepped for a new year! May we all draw closer to Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father in 2019.
Love, Elder Wilson

We went to a dinner party at one member's house and he gave us a stocking full of presents, I love my new socks!
