Hello everybody!
Boy, does time fly! It honestly goes so fast! Christmas is here but doesn't feel like it. The work moves on and so do I! Thank God that the Caravan moves on!
Last Tuesday, we had Zone Conference, and since it was December, a good portion of it was a Christmas Party. Funny story, I was talking to President about what I think a good talk would entail and he responded that I should demonstrate and give a talk at Zone Conference. So I got to give a talk, Haha. We had skits by district. Our district combined with another and we did Bachelorette: Scripture Edition. I portrayed Noah and I actually won! Crazy but what can I say, I'm just such a great charmer. That and it helps when you have a boat and will be the only option after a flood, haha. Afterwards, we did a White Elephant exchange and I got a fishing reel.......... that's it. Haha, I'm gonna use it in lessons as I magnify my calling as a fisher of men. The best gift in the group was a 70's picture of a youth soccer team. They had just found it at Goodwill and held no meaning to anyone so naturally it was everyone's favorite. Afterwards, several elders and I went to Buffalo Wild Wings. You can imagine we were having a blast, 7 young men eating wings, talking about cars, and trying to avoid watching the sports on TV. Even missionaries enjoy normal things. :)
Church was slow yesterday since 70% of our ward is newly wed college students from out west and a lot of them went home for the holidays. We were still able to feel the Spirit so strongly! My companion, Elder Boyd, sang a solo that was quite majestic. Sacrament meeting is honestly the best because you can feel the Spirit each time.
The work goes on in my area. Nothing to report other than we're giving it our all.
I want you all to know that I know this work is important and that it is true. I'm grateful to be serving our savior and best friend, Jesus Christ, who gave His all so we could be happy. There is no better example than His, and there is no better lifestyle than His. May we remember the reason for the season, that we may draw closer to Him and follow His perfect example. He loves us and I love Him.
Jesus loves each and every one of YOU and so do I.
Love, Elder Wilson
