Hi everybody!
So my excuse for the late reply this week is tomorrow is transfers so the day before is made p-day so that everybody who is transferring has time to pack up their stuff. I most likely won't be transferring for two more transfers or 12 weeks so lots of fun adventures ahead in the Lindell Grind!
The title of this email shows what I'm gonna talk about next. So last Thursday I was on exchanges with Elder Anderson and we were coming back from an appointment in the Hood. The sun had just set and so it was dark and we were walking down a bad street. All of the sudden, we heard barking from across an empty lot and to our horror, we saw a big, black dog running at us with no chain or fence to stop him. Hood dogs can be pretty vicious and I knew I couldn't outrun him so I got ready to kick it and fend him off. However, as soon as it got within 6ft, he suddenly stopped. Although he continued to bark, he didn't move again. We backed away slowly without breaking eye contact until we were safely around the corner, where we ran to catch a bus. I know an angel grabbed that dog and protected me.
Today I've been busy baking. I have plans to bake 6 batches of cookies and it has been so fun to bake again! I'll make sure to send a picture by next week cause I don't know if I can finish them all today! Happy day!
I have been very blessed while serving this mission. I have been protected throughout, I have been able to meet so many wonderful people, and I have been able to learn and grow. This work is a great one, the very best that there is. At times it is hard but always fulfilling. I am grateful to be apart of it and would encourage everybody to get apart of it. There is so much GOOD in the Gospel!
Jesus Christ is REAL. Heavenly Father LOVES us. We can be so much BETTER if we let Him into our lives.
Love you all!
