Hey guys!
This weekend is my favorite holiday, THANKSGIVING! And to celebrate, I'm gonna share some of my gratitude.
I'm thankful to be serving a mission in St. Louis. I'm thankful to be serving in the Lindell Ward with Elder Boyd. I'm thankful for the members here who have such strong testimonies and go above and beyond even in their packed college and work schedules and even though they be few and spread apart. I'm thankful for going to the Thanksgiving party we had on Saturday night and getting to stuff myself AND get a bunch of leftovers. Don't worry, there was still plenty of food for everybody else, haha. I'm grateful for the people of St. Louis who for the most part, have a great love for Jesus Christ and honestly do strive to follow him. I'm grateful for the six inches of snow that we got in one night, turning St. Louis into a true winter wonderland, even if it only lasted two days before ALL OF IT melted away.
I'm grateful for the missionaries I get to serve with and how each one of them has a desire to serve. I'm grateful for Elder Boyd who works hard and gives his all. I'm grateful for my mission president, President Bateman, who is a bold man and has really helped to get the Missouri, St. Louis Mission moving.
I'm grateful to have experienced a true autumn where the leaves turn colors and it's pleasant to go for walks. I'm grateful to be bundled up in my awesome trench coat and several other layers and to stay warm for the cold winter ahead. I'm VERY grateful how much it rains here. I'm grateful for a warm apartment.
I'm grateful to be safe, that even in the tough parts of town, people are nice to us and don't threaten us since they know we're simple followers of Christ.
I'm grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I'm grateful that Jesus Christ restored His church to us and that He literally guides it through a prophet, President Nelson. I'm grateful to be a worthy Preisthood member and that I can serve others in a very special way because of it. I'm grateful for both the Bible and the Book of Mormon and all ths great lessons and wisdom they contain. I'm grateful for the Spirit that the Book of Mormon invites into my life and into everybody else who reads it. I'm grateful for the power of prayer and that I can receive answers to those prayers. I'm extremely grateful for my family, and that through this Gospel, I will be with them for eternity. I'm grateful that the grave has no sting and no victory. I'm grateful that through Christ, everything can be made right in the end. I'm grateful to know these things are true, to be blessed because of it, and to get the chance to help others be blessed from it.
I'm grateful for Thanksgiving, the best time of the year, and for the chance to do some thanksgiving.
I hope you all have a great Turkey Weekend!
Love you all! Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love you all!
Love, Elder Wilson
